Porsche Boxster Special Edition Geneva introduces LED light source

Porsche, the German luxury car manufacturer, has unveiled a special edition of its Boxster sports car at the Geneva Motor Show 2023. The Boxster Special Edition features a new LED light source that enhances the performance, safety and style of the vehicle.

The LED light source is a result of a collaboration between Porsche and Splashlight Studios, a company that specializes in creating custom paint jobs for cars. The LED light source was first shown at the New York auto show in 2007 and attracted so much interest that Porsche decided to offer it as an option for 500 new Boxsters1.

The LED light source consists of 12 individually controlled units that are mounted on the front bumper and hood of the car. The units can produce different colors and patterns, such as blue, green, red, yellow, white and rainbow. The LED light source can also be synchronized with the music playing in the car’s stereo system, creating a dynamic and colorful display.

The LED light source not only improves the appearance of the car, but also its performance and safety. According to Porsche, the LED light source provides better visibility at night and in bad weather conditions, as well as reducing glare from other vehicles. The Boxster Special Edition with the LED light source is available in two versions: base model and S model. Both versions have a 2.7-liter flat-six engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Both versions also have a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The base model has a starting price of $65,000, while the S model has a starting price of $75,000.

The Boxster Special Edition with the LED light source is expected to go on sale in late 2023 in selected markets around the world. It will be one of the most unique and eye-catching cars on the road.
