LG Launches Bluetooth Smart LED Light Bulb

LG has released the first smart light bulb called Smart Lamp, which has upgraded existing light bulbs. The light bulb is said to be 80% more energy efficient than conventional light bulbs, but the biggest highlight of the light bulb is that it can be set via Android or iOS devices.

LG Smart Lamp can be paired with Bluetooth on Android 4.3 or later mobile phones. If the user uses the bulb every day for 5 hours, its life span will reach 10 years.

The user can turn on and off or adjust the brightness of the lamp through the app on the mobile phone. The user can also manually set the time for the light card to turn on. The light bulb also incorporates, for example, Security Mode and Play Mode. In safe mode, the light bulb will remain on when the owner leaves the house to let others think there are people in the room. In entertainment mode, the light bulb will identify the music that is currently playing and change brightness with the tempo. The current entertainment mode only supports Android systems.

In addition, the light bulb will automatically flash when someone dials your phone to prevent the user from being aware of it. The retail price of each bulb is 35,000 won, or about 32 US dollars.
